This useful 2" filter drawer features M42 / 0.75 external thread (camera side), M48 / 0.75 internal thread (telescope side) and M48 / 0.75 internal thread filter drawer.
Two strong magnets hold the drawer firmly in place for easy installation and a locking screw firmly secures it.

Useful gadget (for OSC) which removes the need to dismantle the optical train to swap out a filter without buying a full on filter wheel.
The magnetic closure could be stronger. I use a hair band to ensure it stays closed but still need to check it after a meridian flip... Hence 4 stars.

Not much I can add to the other comments except to say that I fixed a velcro strip around the detachable drawer which overlaps another strip of velcro on the main body when the drawer is in place. This stops any potential light leaks that I read about but might apply to an earleir model and keeps everything together just in case the magnets dont hold the drawer in properly. Overall, very pleased.
Three stars are generous. Monday, 1 November 2021 | Peter
Firstly this item is grossly overpriced for what it is, but then again most astro accessories are. But what annoys me about it the most is the fact that the detachable magnetised drawer isn't magnetised nearly enough. It constantly falls out in transit or when the scope is reorientated whilst on the mount. It is in constant danger of sending my expensive filters tumbling to the ground. I have had to resort to using a piece of gaffer tape to secure it in the holder for safety every time I add or change a filter. Hmmm very classy ZWO.
Does exactly what it’s supposed to Friday, 13 August 2021 | James
So much easier to change filters during an imaging session with this. Pricy for what it is, but it’s well made and very useful. Worth considering an extra filter holder too, to avoid threading/unthreading the filters in the dark
Nice little filter holder Tuesday, 22 June 2021 | Andrew
A nice, well-made filter holder. The drawer is held in place with two magnets, but also with a spring-loaded pin in the side of the holder, in line with the drawer knob. This pin can be adjusted in and out with an Allen key, which alters how much it holds the drawer in place. If you're having problems putting the drawer in, you might want to back off this pin a little!

Does exactly what it’s supposed too. Works well and the filters screw into the drawer nicely. Glad I got it!

Excellent service, and the filter drawer is excellent, makes it much more simple to swap filters than having to dismantle the optical train.
Excellent addition to imaging equipment Tuesday, 30 June 2020 | Andrew
Bought to enable a quick change of filters without having to disturb the camera. Extremely well made yet light and easy to fit to either DSLR or CCD. Allows easy change of filters during an imaging session. Holds the filter securely. Nice anodised finish.

I've had to put a rubber band around mine to stop the drawer falling out during telescope slews. Turns out the magnet isn't so strong after all. Yes, there's a lock screw, but on my set up that's inaccessible unless I remove the camera, which defeats the purpose of having the filter drawer in the first place. But I can live with that - this is a very useful accessory.

Perfect, as im a osc user, this is all I need for changing out filters without upsetting the imaging train, especially if you’re in the midst of a session out in the dark. Product is nicely engineered complimenting the set up.
