Outstanding Features
1. Excellent craftsmanship, strong tactile appeal
Superb craftsmanship with a solid tactile appeal ASIAIR PRO shell is made of Aluminium and processed by CNC tech. After the surface is anodised, it protects the shell well and has a comfortable feel. The size of the whole machine is 92 x 67 x 35 mm, making its size and weight excellent, which can be easily grasped by hand.
2. Unique look and easy installation
The slot/port position of ASIAIR PRO is nice and symmetrical, with M4 and 1/4 inch openings on the bottom and the side. With the use of the dovetail, installation and removal are easy.
3. Integrated power management, more storage space
ASIAIR PRO is equipped with a lightweight power management module. There are four DC 5.5 x 2.1 mm power outputs on the side of the body, one DSLR shutter release port, and two USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports each. The power supply is stable and reliable, the interface is rich and diverse, and the wiring is easy and orderly. It also comes with 20 GB of free storage (additional USB drives can also be used as required).
4. Enhanced Wifi
Included with the ASIAIR Plus is a built-in WiFi antenna. Compared to earlier versions of the ASIAIR, the Plus version's antenna has an increased signal, making the connection between your device and the ASIAIR Plus more stable. This also enables the signal range to be wider. With the inclusion of the antenna, you will ultimately see a stronger WiFi signal and faster communication.
This small device can replace your computer or a mount hand controller. With wireless technology, you can even control your astrophotography gear from inside! The 2.4G/5G Dual-band WiFi network has an operating range of up to 20m.
ZWO has designed the ASIAIR Plus so that it may also be hardwired via an Ethernet cable to your home's WiFi router. This allows you to access the device anywhere within your router's WiFi range. There is no VNC or remote desktop; the ASIAIR can handle all tasks needed for DSO imaging. These include Preview, Plate Solving, Focus, Polar Align, Guiding, Autorun, Plan (multi-target), Video (Planetary Imaging, Live Stacking, and more!
5. Ports and Outputs
ZWO has also added indicators for the four DC-12V outputs to the body ASIAIR Plus. These indicators and a function in the ASIAIR app allow you to check the power status quickly and monitor power consumption in real time. You can find the app in all major app stores. The ZWO ASIAIR Plus also comes with two USB2.0 ports and two USB3.0 ports that will allow you to connect your ASIAIR device to your camera, mount, ZWO EAF, and more. Please check the power requirements for any device you plan to connect.
Also included are a gigabit Ethernet port and DSLR Shutter Release cable receptacle. The Type-C USB port allows for connection to a laptop for exporting files from internal storage and the TF card. This connection allows for data transfer, eliminating the need to pull out the SD card or the need for a card reader. Please note a USB-C to USB-A cable is required but not included. The ASIAIR Plus also supports external TF cards and USB drives for upgradable storage capacity. The storage capacity is recommended to be 512GB and 1TB maximum. It currently supports three file system formats: NTFS, FAT32, and exFAT.
6. Recover Mode and eMMC
ZWO has included a Recovery Mode where the system will detect faults and recover itself if the ASIAIR Plus cannot boot up. Additionally, this version of the ASIAIR has been redesigned with eMMC storage; there is 32GB of storage space and 20GB of free space storage for saving images and videos. With the eMMC, the ASIAIR Plus' I/O speed is up to 2.5x faster than the ASIAIR Pro.
eMMC Features - Avg. Read Speed: 85MB/s
- Avg. Write Speed: 52MB/s
- Storage Space: 32GB
- Free Space: 20GB
- Super System Stability: Reset Firmware and Auto Recovery

App Functions
ASIAIR supports both iOS and Android systems.

1. Simple APP interface, as easy as 1, 2, 3.

2. Accurate focus: After the rough focus is completed, select one star, and then accurate focusing can be done through curves such as brightness and HFD. It can also be achieved with ZWO EAF by remote control.

3. Polar Alignment: Based on the powerful plate-solving function, you can finish arc-second polar axis alignment only within a few minutes.

4. Accurate GoTo: With the rich celestial object database, precise GoTo can be achieved after selecting the target.
5. Stable guiding: Independent and stable guiding can be achieved without the PC.

6. Preview mode: You can see the image of the target directly under ‘Preview’.

7. Autorun: Set the target and configure the schedule; ASIAIR will execute the imaging sequence automatically.

8. Live Stacking: You can see the target's stacked image (lower noise with calibration frames) while capturing.

Supported DSLR
ASIAIR PRO is a smart WiFi device that controls all ASI USB 3.0 cameras, ASI Mini series cameras, and Mainstream DSLR cameras. (It can not support ASI120MM/MC camera)

Note:
1. Some DSLR cameras have a 30-second exposure limit, which requires an external shutter release cable to ASIAIR PRO.
2. The items with an exclamation mark in the table above have yet to be verified by actual tests and will be continuously updated in the future.
Supported Mount
We have also been working closely with major manufacturers to complete bringing in the match of iOptron, Vixen, Rainbow, Avalon, Explore Scientific and other models (including some new models). The ASIAIR PRO can support hundreds of equatorial mounts from over 20 manufacturers worldwide. For details, please refer to the “ASIAIR PRO User Manual”.

As a relative newcomer to Astronomy and Astrophotography, it was evident that this would be a significant "sidekick" to help me on my journey.
As a former techie, I found the setup a doddle and like the simple UI. I bought this to work with an Alt-Az GTI (EQ) and realised I could streamline the whole shebang by simply enabling STATION MODE on both the AsiAir and Synscan apps. Both apps will allow you to set a fixed IP address which is key. I then configured the AsiAir app to use the IP addresses I'd allocated to these devices on my home network. This means that you just turn on both devices and the AsiAir or other apps can use the tools without the faff of connecting to the Synscan and AsiAir networks. It is a few moments work and requires you to enter your WIFI password for each device just the once.
This piece of kit is beautifully engineered and so easy to use. I bought the guidescope and 120mm camera bundle and am like a wee kid at Christmas.
I cannot recommend this kit enough - just buy it.

Easy to set up and configure FLO sent clouds with it so not had clear skies yet great service thanks First Light Optics

Thanks for sending my ASIAIR out to me super fast. So happy with it. I’ve connected all my equipment up to it and it all connected with no issues. Unfortunately I haven’t tried it out against the night sky as where I live we’ve had none stop clouds. Hopefully the skies will clear soon

I'm new to astronomy/astrophotography and found the ASIAIR PLUS during a period of frustration when trying to execute a session, which then became a massive problem-solving exercise with nothing to show for it. Naturally due to the British weather, I've not used it to image as yet, although everything connected to it works flawlessly and its easy to navigate with plenty of YouTube tutorials online. Definitely recommended if you want to massively streamline your workflow. FLO have been excellent as always!
Quick delivery too many clouds 23 November 2022 | Philip
Was lucky enough to pick one of these up when stock arrived at FLO, got it all set up and tested, easily installed app on my old IPad, but then discovered that it has limited RAM so the star atlas doesn't work, after protracted installs on my new IPad I actually also got access to the star atlas, so worth noting that whichever device you use needs enough RAM (don't mistake this for storage memory). When the clouds clear I will give the ASIAir a try but am hopeful. I have interconnected mine through a "Pegasus Astro Advanced", but also have tried it as the main device with the EAF/Guidecam/Main Cam directly connected without any problems. Here's to clear skies.

Excellent. Nothing more to say about the item or the FLO service provided.

I have been using the version 1 ASIAIR for a few years now, and it has proven invaluable for deep sky imaging. The benefits of the ASIAIR are well documented, and I thought it was time to upgrade to the Plus version. Luckily the clouds predicted on the FLO box did not materialise, and I was able to quickly attach and set up the Plus. Familiarity with the original ASIAIR helped a lot of course, but the most obvious benefit was the WiFi range which enabled me to keep an eye on things from indoors without dropping the connection. Another reason that I upgraded was for the video feature for lunar/planetary imaging but I have not had a chance to try that yet. Unfortunately the ASIAIR seems permanently out of stock, which must show how good it is. I had to wait about a month for mine, do not hesitate to order from FLO it is well worth the wait.
ASIAIR Plus - fantastic piece of kit 07 October 2022 | Graham
I'm glad I started astrophotography the hard way, with long trailing fast USB cables from the telescope and cameras into the house via an open window. Then, using ASIStudio to make a plan and execute it, only to frequently find that some frames had star trails due to the weight of the cables. The AISAIR Plus has revolutionised the process, so I can start the whole process wirelessly from indoors. Not only that, the Plus checks that it has found the object of interest via seamlessly carrying out a plate-solve at the initial go-to, then adjusting the pointing if required. An amazing system.
Also, as usual, fantastic service from First Light Optics. When I ordered the Plus, it was out of stock, but in a couple of weeks it turned up at my door.

I upgraded from an ASIAIR Pro. Foremost because of the Wi-Fi. Which thankfully is much better and I can now comfortably control the ASIAIR Plus from my kitchen. It’s only 5 meters away but that was too much for the Pro. The benefit of the faster eMMC and I/O is a bonus. I don’t have hard numbers but I’d imagine that would make for an improved frame rate for planetary and lunar imaging.
