New updated model with ST-4 socket so can be used for auto-guiding.
A popular entry-level lunar and planetary colour camera.
"The ASI034MC is a tremendous value colour planetary imaging camera with astonishing performance for the price. If you want a low-cost camera to get you started with Solar System imaging then it comes highly recommended." Martin Lewis writing for 'BBC Sky at Night' magazine Sep 2015.
It can also be used as a guide-camera and whilst it’s small colour sensor is not well suited to off-axis-guiders it will easily handle finder-guiders and other fast / short guide-scopes (the wide field-of-view with fast f/ratio will provide several stars to guide from).
The ASI034MC is fitted with an ASX340CS CMOS sensor so offers similar performance to older top-tier planetary cameras like the colour Imaging Source DBK/DFK21AU618.
Achieves 110 FPS at 640X480 and supports exposure times up to 60s.
Includes a T2 / 1.25" nosepiece adapter with M42x0.75 internal threads so fits easily to your focuser, just like a 1.25" eyepiece.
The underside of the camera has a 1/4” screw and four (4) M4 screws.
Connects to your computer via its USB 2.0 port.
Compatible with Sharpcap and Firecapture.
