The ZWO ASI120MM-S is a super-fast USB 3.0 version of the ASI120MM lunar and planetary imaging camera.
Delivers up to 254x frames-per-second at reduced resolution or 60x FPS at full 1280X960 resolution!
Peak QE of 75% (better than the ICX618) and no Fixed-Pattern-Noise!
It is also a very capable guide camera. Compared to ICX618 based cameras, like the Imaging Source DMK21AU618, ZWO ASI120MM offers significantly faster frame-rate, slightly higher sensitivity in visual light and more pixels for lunar imaging.
For guiding it offers a solid performer that handles most setups with ease, including most OAG configurations.
The sensor is protected by an anti-reflection clear optical window. If imaging the Moon or planets we recommend fitting a 1.25" UV/IR rejection filter.
The ASI120MM-S’s mono sensor can also be used with specialised UV or methane band filters, as well as infrared passing filters for lunar and planetary imaging (i.e. Baader IR-Pass, Red and Orange visual filters). IR-passing filters cut short wavelengths which prevents atmospheric dispersion softening the image.
Note: The ASI120MM-S has a Micron sensor which might produce Newton Rings when used with solar telescopes. Cameras fitted with Sony sensors are better-suited to this application.
Supplied with a 150-degree accessory lens so you don't even need a telescope to start imaging the stars!
Warning
- The lens can be screwed in too far, result in a scratch on the protect window! Please adjust it very slowly! Don’t turn it beyond the focus at infinity!

Works great straight out the box. No problems connecting to either my Macbook or my Raspberry PI running Astroberry first time. Eventually will hope to use this for guiding, but havent quite got that advanced yet!

Well, what can I say that everyone doesn't already know. awesome little mono guide cam, bought to fill in for my 290 that's having a holiday in China. But this will remain as my guide cam now and the 290 will get to return to planetary.
As always, FLO service is excellent and for me just a quick bike ride away.

I just want to say that I haven't had the chance to use this camera for my intended purpose yet, it will be used exclusively for autoguiding. However I have been able to set it up with my computer and test all of my software. Works perfectly with Kstars and EKOS on my MacBook Pro. Fit and finish is excellent and the packaging and shipping was top notch! If I had to say anything negative its that ZWO's manufacturing process leaves sharp edges on the grooves around the body of the camera. Still say 5 out of 5 stars

The ZWO ASI 120MM-S is a quality item and FLO has it with me the following morning after I ordered it - very impressive!
The ZWO software (ZWO ASI Suite available at - https://astronomy-imaging-camera.com/software-drivers) works on both Windows and Mac (I'm using my Mac) and, as a bonus, for a less bulky setup you can also download the "ASICAP" app from the Play Store onto your phone and connect the camera using a USB to USB-C adapter.

I needed a mono ccd for an electronic view finder project I'm working on. This has good imaging performance and what seems to be a stable driver. I've had it working with a number of packages, on Mac, Windows and RaspberryPi. I've also managed to drive the camera directly from python code.
The USB3 connection is fast, and images and streaming video can downloaded very nicely.
The included lens (2.1mm), really isn't brilliant as an all sky camera, as the 150 deg field of view is for the diagonal. The 'vertical' field of view is only about 100 degrees. If you want a full sky then find a 1.55mm lens.
