Astrodymium Ring System with ZWO EAF & ASIAIR Mount for Samyang / Rokinon 135mm f/2 Lens

The Astrodymium Ring System is an all in one mounting & autofocusing solution to using the Rokinon/Samyang 135mm F2 lens for astrophotography. The ring system allows a ZWO ASIAIR, EAF, and any guidescope to be easily connected to the 135mm lens.

With a ZWO EAF (not included), it will be possible to electronically control the focus on the 135mm lens. This allows you to automate your imaging sessions, so you don't have to worry about focus shift due to temperature changes or filter offsets.

The ring system uses two rings with a hinged design to securely hold the 135mm lens in place. The hinges make it possible to remove/install the lens without needing to remove your DSLR / imaging camera first. Large thumbscrews also mean that no tools are needed to loosen or tighten the rings down onto the lens.

Attaching a guidescope to the lens is easy with the top rail. Simply slide the guidescope into the rail, and secure it with the two metal thumbscrews. Other accessories that have a vixen style dovetail will also fit.

On the sides of the hexagonal rings are M5 mounting points for easy attachment of extra accessories, such as an ASIAIR Pro/Plus with the optional mounting plate add-on. Each threaded point uses stainless steel threads for a strong and corrosion resistant connection.

All parts for the Ring System are 3D printed out of durable PETG plastic that can handle temperatures of up to 80ºC (176ºF), and down to -25ºC (-13ºF).

Screws for connecting the rings to a dovetail bar are included.

Well built piece of kit for the Samyang 135mm lens. Also enables the fitting of a ZWO EAF. Exactly what I wanted and delivered quickly from the team at FLO.
Also exceptional advice from the folk at FLO, as always. Many thanks.

Samyang 135mm F2/2 Lens holder

Really impressed with the product and they even have 3d printed dividers in the packaging itself. The 3d printed parts really hold the lens well and looking forward to first light with this as soon as the clouds depart!

Best one so far

Note: I bought this directly from Astrodymium before FLO started selling them.

This is now my third(!) set of 3D printed rings, and the Astrodymium is the best one by a long shot! The material used here feels solid, and all parts fit well together. There is no slop or movement when attached to the lens. And now you no longer have to MacGyver something to use your ZWO EAF! Just two screws, and you are done!

I removed a star due to the dovetail screws being made out of cheap soft metal. One of mine got stuck after the threads stripped off in the hex nut. In the end, I had to cut it out. Replace them with something better!
