iOptron HAZ71 Alt-Az Strain Wave Mount

This new, relatively compact high payload mount from iOptron easily accommodates a binocular and a telescope through its multiposition saddle, which can be located on top or on the side to suit the selected instrument.

Set-up is easy. Turn the mount on, and it will calibrate itself and GoTo the first target utilising iOptron's time-tested 'Level and Go' routine.

The iOptron HAZ71 utilises state-of-the-art strain wave gear technology for both RA and DEC movements and delivers unparalleled weight-to-payload efficiency.

Its black anodised all-metal CNC machined body provides a rugged platform that will perform at the highest level for many years.

Unique features, such as an electronic friction brake on AZ and ALT, enable the mount to stop safely.

The mount can be controlled by a computer, either via ASCOM/Commander for a Windows PC or a third-party INDI driver for MacOS software; a SmartPhone/Tablet via iOptron Commander Lite or an App like SkySafari; or an iOptron iMate Astronomy Control Box and other Pi device via INDI driver.
