Firstly, I was really happy with the EQ5 mount, no-one seems to make decent quality manual EQ mounts, everything seems to be goto. Goto functionality doesn't interest me in the slightest, but the ability to track is a real bonus, in fact I nearly bought the cheaper set with only RA tracking, but for the extra bit of cash, it seemed silly not to get this kit. I had the complete kit installed and working in about fifteen minutes, really simple to do, one phillips head screw and four Allen bolts, job done. One bonus is the mount can still be used manually as both motors have a clutch on the smallest brass cog, loosen them off a couple of turns and use the plastic knobs that came with the mount. Only down side is 6 volts and D cell batteries, 12 volt and it would have been perfect.

I bought these for my evostar 120 on eq5 mount, easy to fit, once polar aligned they track very good in deed, I went in house for a good half hour an the object was still in middle of e.p. A must for astrophotography!! No more star trails! Only drawback is 6volt and the batteries don't last a week if your using them say 3-4times a week. Oh and one more little niggle is that the Dec motor connection is open to the elements' I did make a cover but it was in the way of mount.
