About this product

Model:  wonderfluid-1

Baader Planetarium's Optical Wonder Fluid is the finest lens cleaner we have found. It is especially good at removing fatty contaminants from fingerprints, eyelashes and most pollens. It also removes bacteria and fungi that can harm optical coatings and prevents their return.

The Baader micro-fibre cleaning cloth is made from a finer grade of micro-fibre than the typical lens cloths sold at camera shops or opticians.

Available separately but when used together (place the fluid then the cloth in your cart) they make a remarkably effective and safe cleaning product.

Note: Baader Optical Wonder is primarily a lens cleaner, it is not suitable for cleaning Newtonian mirrors.

Cleaned my corrector plate

The best cleaner for eyepieces by far and it brought up a lovely clean finish on my SCT corrector plate too.
Make sure you use an air blower to get bigger debris off first before you do any rubbing. And buy the Baader cloth too, it a great cloth which cleans up great when washed in some fairy liquid

Glued on pollen on the objective of my Lunt 80mm Solar scope

I sent off for the Baader Wonder Fluid and cloth and it arrived the next day (First Light Optics, well done). A quick wipe and the glued on pollen fell away. Even more good news is that the hairline which I thought was a scratch lifted off too, so I'm left with a beautiful mint condition objective and a beautiful basically mint scope to go with it. Thanks all! It's not Wonder Fluid, it's Magic Fluid.

It works exactly as you would expect, order with the cloth for best results and clean your eyepieces with confidence.

Have to say I was not keen to tackle cleaning my eyepieces as experience with other products left me expecting to have to replace them afterwards. Not so, after a clean up with this combination of fluid and cloth they look like new again. Highly recommended.

wonderful indeed

Well I was a bit worried tackling my rather pollen and dew covered lens on the Meade 127 APO. Careful application of this fluid and very light wipes with the included cloth brough the lens back to a superb level. This is one of those products you will not regret buying

My cleaner of choice

Nothing bad to be said about this cleaning fluid - it's so effective at cleaning most optical surfaces (except mirrors), is in a very convenient spray bottle, is fairly cheap, and seems to last forever. I use it very often, to clean eyepiece lenses, objective lenses, filters, and even as a general purpose cleaner, and I'm on the same bottle I bought over 4 years ago!

Can't recommend it enough.

Very good and lasts a long time

I ordered this cleaning set from First Light Optics to help me keep my eyepieces in tip top condition.

They've helped with that and so much more.

I've found the solution to be quite useful for cleaning camera lenses as well as camera lens filters when they get a little dusty or mucky during the day.

The solution is pretty good at getting muck and dirt off things like smartphones and tablet screens too.

But I recommend not using the spray on delicate optical mirrors or on sensitive plastics (such as LCD screens).
