Essential but shouldn't have been needed

This is a short USB extension lead and one self adhesive cable clip. It tackles a long known design problem, that the usb socket in the mount breaks its connections quite easily, requiring a $1495 replacement of the whole board or finding a soldering specialist. £39 is excessively more than a diy decent short usb lead and a suitable cable clip to prevent the issue, but the latter seems impossible to find. Fitting generates an unwelcome sideways force with the cable visibly bending the mount socket sideways. The clip is slightly too large to fit the available space - the instructions suggest cutting the clip down. Really? Hold the plug on the extension cable square while fitting. It does a job that should not be necessary at the cost of these mounts.
