Geoffrey Lenox-Smith writing for Astronomy Now Magazine."The ASIair Mini offers 90 per cent of the features of the ASIair Plus for two-thirds of the price. It is a little slower in operation but nothing serious. Unless you have a specific need for a feature found only in the Plus (for example, an ethernet port), most users will be perfectly happy with the Mini."

Got this on a whim and wow am I impressedThe unit itself is absolutely tiny and weighs almost nothing. After a couple of beeps it just works - there is a little guide to show you how to do various things (planning/etc) and when I plugged in my wife's DSLR it again "just worked" and even told me what settings I needed to use. I've had a play and the wifi range is good enough to reach inside even with my scope at the bottom of the gardenIf there's a criticism it's that there basically is no manual, while very easy to use I am still going to watch some youtube vids to make sure I've not missed anything. Also mostly likely not an issue but you will need to provide your own power supply and usb memory stick (maybe there's a better way here, again no instructions)Fingers crossed it'll be a cloudless night tonight and I'm excited to try it out for real!
This little bit of kit is in my opinion is an absolute game changer it make everything so intuitive delivery was very quick great price totally 5 stars
First time using the ASIair. I brought the mini after waiting for the ASIair Pro to become available. Although different to what I originally wanted, I am not disappointed. As always, great services from the FLO team.
When this came out it captured my immediate interest as it’s cheaper than the other ASIair options. I have a light weight portable rig that I’m building with a dslr, SW AZ-GTI and Samyang 135mm as base and this is a perfect addition. Functionality and ease of use is great - I’ve been out with it a couple of times and I’m impressed. I’d previously used NINA with a laptop connection for a computerised setup but having it hands free and controllable via iPad is so much more pleasant for my needs. Recommended.
