Manufactured from matt-black anodised aluminium with a knurled area that adds only 3mm spacing. Includes a safety under-cut and threaded for 2-inch filters.
This is the first of a new range of precision-made high quality adapters manufactured here in the UK exclusively for First Light Optics. We figure if you are using a motorised filter wheel loaded with premium-quality filters and an expensive camera, you won't want a bargain-basement adapter!

I had previously ordered an M56x1 ClickLock visual back in the hope that it would fit onto the focuser threads of my Stellarvue AT1010. It didn't fit (they may be M57, still not sure) and that left me with an M56 ClickLock that I was unable to use.
I ordered one of these adapters and used it to let me insert the ClickLock into the 2" visual back on the AT1010. It's not a perfect solution (that 2" visual back was what I was trying to replace) but now I only have to crank the visual back screws down on this adapter and I can use the superior ClickLock from that point on. The adapter seems to be well made and well machined - just what I needed.
Astro Essentials Adapter for Sky-Watcher Focal Reducers

Exactly what I needed to allow the fitting of a 2 inch filter in the optical train of my ED100 DS Pro!
No more dismantling the filter to fit it to the focal reducer.

This is a brilliant solution to an expensive alternative , the only solution I could find was a filter unit and drawer at around £120, but as I only use colour cameras I don't need to change filters, this adapter holds a 2" filter which I use all night anyway so it's perfect for me, well done FLO for coming up with this.
Much more flexible reducer/flattener

One or two evenings spent outside trying to rotate a DLSR camera with the ring adapter tiny screws and this adapter (plus a Baader click lock for example) will make sense!
Focal adapter for ed80 focal reducer

I've had the skywatcher 0.85 focal reducer for a while,,was fitted to the skywatcher evostar ed80 drawtube, but I changed the focuser to the OVL one and of course it was not a direct fit ,, I bought this adapter and at first I thought it was a bad idea that it was a push fit, but in reality it gives more flexibility in allowing different kit being fitted to the scope.. shirva.. video astronomy forum

Solid, does the job of fitting the flattener to an aftermarket focuser brilliantly. Should be sold as standard. Excellent construction, well thought out and cheap. Not many things in life are perfect. This is though.
Overseas Order and TOTALLY worth it

After switching my Pro 120ED from a stock focuser to a moonlight focuser I was stuck using a 2" Hotech flattener. Although great, I wanted the 0.85x back and the only place on the planet that seemed to have such an adapter in stock was FLO. The unit arrived surprisingly fast, and man does it feel rock solid. The ONLY change I would make is to maybe include a cap for the 2" nosepiece since this new format means the previous cap from the reducer no longer fits. Definitely not a deal breaker though, just might be a nice add-on to this otherwise indispensable unit.
Great machine work, great feel, great shipping, and an all around great experience! Thanks FLO!

This First Light Optics made adaptor for the ED80 focal reducer is an amazing adaptor, and you can only get it from FLO.
So I want to give a BIG thank you to FLO for making these as it has been a great help.It is an extremely well made high quality item.I recommend it to everyone who uses an ED80,100 or ED120 Skywatcher Scope with the Skywatcher Focal Reducers.

I just obtained this adaptor and am so impressed with the quality.
Clearly, every step of the design was very well thought out, from the knurled edge which provides excellent grip and looks great, to the unique safety undercut in the barrel, which is the best design I've ever come across.
Okay, I know it's only an adaptor, but it's in the very highest level of design and quality in any adaptor I've used, and of course, it's very reasonably priced. Only question is, why don't FLO do more?
