To be fair I didn't try the standard ones but these worked and felt excellent. I can imagine more control over the standard design.

I stupidly managed to bend one of the original bolts on the eq6-r. so I bought these as a replacement. I would say they are slightly better than the original bolts but wouldn't personally buy them as an upgrade unless you are really keen on marginal gains!

Would have given 4-5stars but there was very little rounding off on the end of the bolt (the burr has been filed but it is square) and where the shoulder of the bolt meets the post of the tripod you can definitely feel a click when the “valley” of the thread touches the post. The original bolt has a large dome on the end of the bolt so there is an even pressure point on the az post at all times and as such causes minimal marring of the post.

Easily fixed with a sharp file but it’s a shame it couldn’t have come from factory as such. The 3d printed knob is a good size and strong, the spikes on the knob could be a potential cable snag.

First order from FLO, came very quickly to Channel Islands.
