I bought this light shield not for a Newtonian telescope but for my C14 Edge. I have a street light almost parallel to my telescope so it does a good job of stopping stray light entering into the optics being large but light in weight and can easily be positioned by rotating around the OTA. The only criticism I have, and its small, is that the strap could have been a complete circle and not 2 halves attaching with male & female Velcro. It can be awkward with a large dimension tube to catch both ends for joining but its a small point-I guess infinite adjustment is better than elasticity.

I recommend this shield if you want to pay the high price of entry. It looks strongly made so not likely to fall to pieces being made of the same material as all Astrozap dew shields.
