Robust design using modern materials for high performance and long life!

Simply wrap one around the telescope tube near the optics and secure it there with its integrated Velcro/elastic strap. A gentle heat is then transferred to the optics until the temperature is slightly warmer than the dew point.

This heater strap is 40cm long, please check the circumference of your telescope first to ensure this will provide a good fit.

Will I need a Dew Controller?

A simple 12V Dew Heater Supply Cable can be used to connect the tape to a suitable 12V power-supply. When connected this way, the tape is essentially running on full power. This won't harm the tape, but with smaller telescope apertures, it might result in the optic being warmer than necessary, which can affect the view and waste energy. The solution then is to use a Dew Controller that regulates the heat (also enables you to use more than one heater tape).

I bought this for my Stella Mira 90mm . The last 2 nights imaging were -3 and -5, the ground and roof tops were snow white with frost but my telescope lenses was clean and clear all through the session. A superb product.

Lynx Astro dew shield

I purchased this 40cm dew shield for my Starfield 102 refractor. Despite the Starfield having its own dew shield, this could not cope with nights of heavy dew. I’m pleased to say that this has been rectified with this purchase. The dew band itself is well made with the proper cable that won’t go brittle in the cold.The Velcro used is also strong with no need to worry about it coming undone. Packaged and delivered swiftly by FLO.

First light are a doddle to deal with I can’t recommend them highly enough the dew heater arrived on time very well protected but with the minimum of packaging needed, the dew heater is now proudly sitting on my scope awaiting the clouds to disappear (as said on the box…may contain clouds 🙂 this is not the first time of using F.L.O. and it won’t be the last

The Lynx Astro 40cm Dew Heater Strap is a good length to wrap around this 80 mm aperture telescope.
The Velcro strap provides good thermal contact to the telescope barrel.
Warm up time < 30 minutes approximately using 12V Lynx Astro Dew Controller Power Supply at 100% setting.

Bought this for my 4 inch ED scope (Vixen SD103S) it is well made and fits easily round the OTA.
Comes with a generous cable length for connecting up to the 12v supply.
Quite warm on full power (at least in current night temperatures) so I run at about half power or so, may need a higher level once we hit the winter months.
