About this product

The purpose of the Planewave Electronic Focuser Assembly (EFA) kit is that it automates the focusing process (on the Hedrick focuser), monitors the Delta-T Dew heater and controls the built-in fans on the CDK telescopes.

The EFA control box can be mounted onto the back plate of any of the CDK telescopes and plugs into the temperature sensors and fan control wires that come standard with each telescope. 

A hand control unit is provided to control the optional focuser/rotator when standing at the eyepiece of the telescope. The EFA kit comes with Planewave Interface(PWI) , a software package that controls all external devices from a PC.  All the cables are provided to attach the EFA kit to a PC. 

The EFA kit is ASCOM compatible so will work with many other software packages available today.
