The telescope came in a few days to the USA. Great service again from FLO with quick shipping and great communication. I always look to do business with a company I can trust. Thank you for a beautiful telescope!

Best 120mm triplet - very high quality Japanese refractor ☆☆☆☆☆
19 September 2019  |

Got one of these earlier in the year. Optically it is absolutely superb, probably the best 120mm triplet made. No trace of chromatic aberration at all. TSA stands for Triplet Super Apochromat, and it is just that.

For a 120mm triplet, this refractor is lightweight and my Skytee 2 mount is not strained. Maybe a Marmite thing, but I like the sliding dew shield on the "S" model.

Like all Takahashi telescopes it came triple boxed & in immaculate condition. For use the cooling down time is longer than that of my 120mm doublet, but not dramatically so. The views, allowing for aperture, of planets and anything else is breathtaking. I use a combination of Pentax XW and Baader Morpheus eyepieces, with an APM 30mm Ultra Flat Field for richer field views.

This telescope can handle views to at least 250x easily, probably more but I have not gone over that, yet.

There are cheaper very good Chinese refractors, but the Takahashi TSA120 is king of 120mm, with a well established and reported history of excellence.
