Ash wood has excellent vibration damping characteristics (this is why it is used for hammer handles) so is an excellent choice for tripods that support astronomy mounts.
It is also warm to the touch (great for cold winter nights under the stars) and it looks fantastic!
Berlebach Uni-18 and Uni-28 tripods are the most popular choices for most astronomy mounts.
With the included attachable tray (37 cm) an angle of inclination of approximately 23° can be achieved.

I recently got the uni 18 to use with an AZ 100 mount. This really is a quality product. I have only had one short session with it but have been very impressed by how quickly any vibrations are dampened down. Again thanks to FLO for a great service.

First class on delivery and a beautiful tripod. Unpacked and set up yesterday and now waiting for clear night sky. Legs slide smoothly when levelling and the large bubble level is well placed and easy to read. - one less job with my specs on. Everything about this tripod is quality.

Just purchased my second Berlebach tripod. My first was bought 15 years ago and still in service. Mine has supported refractors, Mal Newts and large Binos in its time. Vibration is quickly damped and the additional clamps on the 28 model an improvement on my first purchase. Luggable to dark locations and very smart. Large accessory tray a boon in the dark too. For the price range these are versatile and hard to beat.

I recently purchased a Uni 28 for use with an Altair Sabre (M10/HEQ5) mount. I can safely say Its a solid base, and its vibration dampening qualities (even on concrete) makes pleasurable viewing across all magnifications. If you add the right mount for you, you will probably never feel the need to look for any more. Up from this would probably be the Losmandy AZ8, but the price jump is significant and the Berlebach performs well beyond expectations.

I recently purchased the UNI-28 (HEQ5) version of this tripod for use with a Tele-Optic Ercole Alt-Az mount. The tripod is a thing of beauty - excellently put together and as solid as a rock. The dampening when using a long refractor is extremely impressive and gentle tweaks on the focuser are no longer an issue. This is beyond doubt one of the best astro purchases I have made.
