Turn your Newtonian telescope into a fast, high-quality astrograph with the Starizona Nexus focal reducer.

Newtonian telescopes require a coma corrector to obtain sharp stars over a large field of view.

Most coma correctors keep the telescope's native focal ratio or even make the scope a little slower. This Nexus Reducer / Coma Corrector is different because it provides a 0.75x focal reduction factor. This turns a regular f/4 Newtonian into an f/3 system, with a larger field of view and shorter exposure times (by a factor of 1.8x).

The sophisticated optical design features extra-low dispersion (ED) glass for performance that equal to the best coma correctors available, while reducing, not increasing, the focal length.

It is also parfocal, so does not change the original focal point of the telescope.

The corrected image circle is 28mm, accommodating camera sensors up to APS format.

Though designed primarily for use with f/4 imaging Newtonians, it can also be used with Newtonians as fast at f/3.

Back Focus requirement is the usual 55mm. This enables use of DSLRs, mirrorless cameras and most astronomical CMOS and CCD cameras. It has M48 threads on the camera side and the barrel has a standard 2" diameter so fits fit most focusers. On the telescope end are M48 threads for a standard 2" filter.
