Originally I had a 20cm vixen dovetail bolted to the foot (via the 1/4in sockets) which worked for balance for 2 years, but was unable to mount anything on top of the scope.
I bought these rings together with 20cm and 11cm WO dovetail and M6x16mm bolts. To remove foot pull back corners of rubber foot pad and unscrew 4 tiny screws to release the rubber pad
revealing the allen bolt heads holding the foot. Undo the "boatwheel" (very tight !!!) and remove focus assembly. Use socket wrench (5/16" or 8mm) and allen key (5/32" or 4mm) to remove nut inside and bolt outside. Used small squares of black tap to cover holes. The inner nut is *very* close to lens so care and good lighting. There is very little room to attach dovetail as the fixed dew shield sticks out. 20cm dovetail attached and now working. Bit expensive so not 5 stars, but solid kit. You can also get 100mm SW rings quite a lot cheaper but not so well made. Overall required result achieved so happy.

I’ve been looking to replace the odd foot SW installs on the esprit 80ED. These were absolutely perfect! Great look and high quality. Fit like a glove!

At last! I’ve been waiting so long for a simple, quality set of rings to give my trusty old 80ED the new lease on life it’s quality optics deserve.

It is a considerable outlay for just rings but they are excellent quality, perfect fit (for me) and offer an extension of working life for my imaging rig.
