The brass compression-ring firmly grips any accessory with a 2" nosepiece.
Optical length 10mm.
Easy to fit: Simply unscrew the existing eyepiece/accessory holder then screw this one on.

I honestly don't understand why Skywatcher puts such an inferior visual back on their ED scopes. This product is a perfect fit and you can rest assured your eyepieces and adaptors will not get scuffed or beaten up. Great machining and paint finish. I ordered this from Florida and received the item within a week. Great service and products from our friends across the pond.

With a compression ring rather than just two screws this doesn't mark the body of any push-fit flattener or star diagonal. Some people have said it has problems with a tapered nose piece such as the OVL flattener has, but I have had no trouble with obtaining a secure and snug fit.

This is a big improvement over what is the standard fitting on the SkyWatcher focuser. My camera feels far more secure without damaging the barrel.
Huge improvement over standard SkyWatcher focuser connection

I've a pair of Skywatcher newtonians - an 8" Quattro and a 500p. Neither came with compression 2" fittings, and given that both of these scopes are F/4 or lower, a Paracorr or similar is a really good idea for visual use. Unfortunately the standard SkyWatcher 2" eyepiece connection will not allow a Paracorr through to the focuser tube, meaning one cannot reach focus with the standard interfaces as supplied.
This compression-ring adapter replaces the SkyWatcher screw-in adapter that has two thumbscrews only, with a fitting that has the brass compression ring. This means that the Paracorr can fit all of the way through into the focuser and can be tightly held without any possibility of marring the tube of the eyepieces or the Paracorr itself.
This replacement fitting does exactly what it says on the tin, and then just gets right out of the way, exactly like the best designs do.
I cannot recommend this fitting highly enough. If you have a Skywatcher newtonian and either you want to use a Paracorr or you want to have non-marred eyepieces, then this is the fitting for you.

To get prime focus with my 10" skywatcher dob, i was searching for something like this. The standard ring adapter had a groove in it. If you want to attach a dslr, it would not go deep enough in.
This is a groove less adapter ring, so with a 2" UltraWide True-2 Prime Focus Adapter attached to my dslr and this ring in the draw tube i now get prime focus super easy! This is perfect!
The quality is really good, sturdy material. Now i can finally take pictures with my dob. Shipping went like a charm. Clear skies!
excellent quality product

Excellent fit and finish, large thumbscrews, secure grip. Nothing to complain: works great as advertised. 5 stars all the way!

Added this to my 200PDS and it holds my Skywatcher Coma corrector with attached ASI1600MM-C firmly in place without marking the coma corrector.
Causes tilt with a Baader MPCCMKIII

While I acknowledge that the design of the Baader MPCCMKIIIs barrel is not the best in terms of how it interacts with a compression fitting and this likely works fine with a SWCC, I feel that as the MPCCMKIII is probably the most popular Coma Corrector used on Sky-watcher Newtonians the opportunity to account for the MPCCMKIII in the design of this item was missed. In the end I went back to using the original.
