About this product
Model: stellamira_2inch_1x_ff_m42
Part Number: K1.0X-DAU08
This useful non-reducing Field Flattener enables DSLR astrophotography with most f/5-f/7 refractor telescopes.
It is optimised for DSLR cameras and telescopes with f/5-f/7 focal ratios.
It will also work well with telescope focal lengths narrowly outside this optimised f/range if using an astronomy camera with a smaller sensor.
Identical to our M48 model but features an integral T / M42 adaptor thread that can be swapped for an optional M48 adapter.
Fully multi-coated optics fitted into a CNC machined body with a gloss black anodised finish.

Useful accessory for photography 13 April 2023 | Alan
This field flattener gives a definite improvement in definition towards the edges of the frame on a Micro 4/3 camera. The StellaMira 110mm f6 covers most of the MFT format sharply, but the clearer detail over the outer parts makes the accessory worthwhile, as it only costs 10% of the price of the telescope. On a larger format, it would be even more useful. I don't think it would be worthwhile for purely visual use, unless full sharpness over a very wide field was essential. A quick check showed that there seems to be enough back focus for at least some eyepieces, though an adaptor to hold the eyepiece would be needed.
Works with Sky Watcher 72ED 04 May 2022 | Chris
Recommended by FLO, and purchased in addition to my first scope (Sky Watcher 72ED). It works great, is a lot cheaper than Sky Watchers own flattener, works with my Canon DSLR...overall great!
