I bought this to accompany the star adventurer 2i. The tripod is extremely stable and lightweight. Delivery took a little longer than stated but this was mainly due to there being no stock and the purchase being between Xmas and new year. FLO organised my order to come straight from the warehouse so it meant this would speed the delivery up. Great customer care as always. Highly recommended.
Good review for this bit of kit. I previously had my Star Adventurer mounted on an old camera tripod which for the most part was fine but it just never felt sturdy. Mounted on this tripod its like a rock. Perfect for a travelling set up. My only issue and I have read this with a lot of the reviews is that there is no carry case. I would have liked a purpose built travel case for it but its not the end of the world and for those who are purchasing a new Star Adventure, I recommend this all day lonh
The tripod is well made and really light to carry around. It fits perfectly with the Star Adventurer and if placed correctly on solid ground, it will stay there during the night without any problems. Only thing I miss from this product is a soft case to make carrying it around easier. This last thing is the only reason I'm rating it 4/5.
This tripod is pretty good and is sturdy enough for the star adventurer. This isn't a high quality tripod but it does the job. This tripod should have come with a tripod carry case for easy transport and this is the reason why I give it 4 stars.
Light and good enough for a small maksutov or refractor but the tripod leg 'screws' easily get loose after some use. You can however tighten them so the tripod becomes much more stable again.
